We train our students to ask:
“What does GOD say about it?”
Through speech and debate, we train young people to THINK BIBLICALLY
and to search God’s word for truth.
We work together to learn to
effectively communicate the truth of scripture,
to defend our faith, and to stand up for what is right and just according to God’s word.

The Texas EQUIP speech and debate club serves homeschooled students in Junior High and High School. We are a competitive, Christian speech and debate club and seek to honor and glorify God in all we do. Our club focuses on teaching a Biblical Worldview approach to speech and debate. We also seek to involve entire families in the club and our leadership is comprised of couples. Strong male role models are present in our weekly club meetings and at our tournaments.
During speech club we offer competitive speech training for students age 12-18 and a special Beginning Public Speaking program for siblings under the age of 12. During debate club we offer competitive debate training as well as an "Intro to Debate" class for students desiring to learn debate but not yet wanting to compete. Between the speech club and debate club times, we offer a Biblical Worldview class that is mandatory for all speech and debate club members. Students can choose to participate in just speech club, just debate club or both speech and debate. All student members must attend the Biblical Worldview class. It is the foundation for both speech and debate.
We train our students to be not only effective communicators but also effective leaders. EQUIP is a competitive speech and debate club. We meet weekly to prepare for Stoa and NCFCA speech and debate competitions, and we compete on the local, regional, state and national levels. Our club requires each family to affiliate with the Stoa speech and debate league, and we require participation in at least one Stoa tournament per year.
We are centrally located in Terrell, Texas to accomodate families in East Texas, Northeast Texas, Terrell, Dallas, Kaufman, Forney, Rockwall, Mesquite, and the surrounding areas.
This year our club offers training in Stoa and NCFCA Speech events and coaching in Stoa Debate competitions. We have teamed with other local Stoa clubs to offer online debate rounds which will provide additional opportunities for our students to practice their debate skills and to meet and interact with other Christian students. We are also blessed to have local State and National Champions willing to serve as peer mentors to our students. God is blessing our club in amazing ways!
